Matt and have been married 6 days now. The ceremony was beautiful and I'm so happy. Next stop, name changing!

I was reading some old entries and one said that it seemed doubtful that I'd ever get to meet Matt.

He's been living here for over 5 1/2 years now.

:) Happy New Year!

5:57 pm - Used books and their previous lives.
I started reading a book today that came in a lot Matt bought on Ebay. I noticed a little pink piece of paper marking a page only about a fifth of the way into the book, and I started thinking about it way too much. My first thought is that the person reading this before me decided it wasn't worth finishing. So I started to wonder if it's just not worth finishing. Then I really got into the other possible scenarios including death or simply sticking that paper into a random part of the book while they finished reading it and then forgetting it was there. I'm pretty sure it's not normal to think this deeply about something so trivial as a scrap of paper.

4:36 pm - Concerts
I'm very excited about a couple of concerts I'll be seeing in May. I'm going to Promowest to see Fall Out Boy with All Time Low, Hey Monday, and a few other bands. 2 days after that concert I'm going to Rock on the Range! It's a 2 day event with a couple dozen bands or so. Slipknot is who I'm most excited to see but Chevelle, The Used, Flyleaf, Korn, Motley Crue, Shinedown, and Hoobastank should also be enjoyable. I love Alice in Chains but I don't know what I think of their replacement singer.

Matt proposed to me! I said yes! I'm engaged! The ring is shiny and beautiful! Happy Thanksgiving!

Do I really need to say what I'm thankful for this year?

Joella Mae was born June 17 at 6:41pm. 8 lbs 1 oz, 20 in, and beautiful.

I asked her brother Jacob (4 years old) yesterday if he held her yet. He said, "No, but she's soft!"

I love my family.

My sister's baby shower was today. It was a lot of fun and I was very excited to show off my new apartment.

Miss Annie Sue has now slept in bed with us twice. She rocks.

It's warm! And sunny! Loving that completely.

I feel a bit trolly on Livejournal. I rarely comment and I post even less, but I do read it a lot. Almost daily. That being said, I feel the need to update. Here goes.

I moved! I have been living in this new apartment for a week now and I absolutely love it. It's closer to work, cutting my travel time by more than half. I have a patio! It's really nice to have the large patio door because it lets in a lot of sunlight. Marley (my cat) loves to sit and watch even when it appears there's nothing out there to see. He seems to be happier here than I've seen him in a really long time. Annie (my dog) is getting used to it, but she's still a bit confused. She doesn't like going into the new bathroom and she gets confused about where her bed is. However, she also enjoys the patio door. Our new cable company's package that was the closest to being equivalent to the old company includes the Game Show Network! We did not have that channel at the old place, and actually I've never had it at any home I lived in so that's been fun. This new apartment has a few more square feet, but there is a lot less closet space here. This is nice because it makes the apartment feel bigger since more of that square footage is actual room space, but it's tough to find places for everything.

My sister is pregnant, I can't remember if I posted about that or not. She's due June 30, but she may be farther along. The baby (her first girl, third child) is measuring a few weeks ahead of schedule. This Sunday is her baby show, and I'm so excited that we'll be having it here at my new apartment! I'd love to hear which baby show games are your favorites.

Time seems to be speeding by. I'm going to Atlantic City with Matt and his family in 52 days. My boss told me a mostly fail proof way to win some money gambling. I'm not bringing more than I am comfortable losing, but it'd be really cool to make some money there! The hotel is right on the boardwalk. I am really excited because there are about eight million cool things to do and see there.

I really needed to do that. I feel better now. Have a fantastic day everyone!

Annie was spayed yesterday. She's doing pretty well, but she's to smart for the buster collar (cone/lampshade shaped collar). We had to go back today and get a Bite Not collar. It's quite similar to a neck brace that a neck injury patient would wear. She hasn't even tried to get it off, and it much less intrusive on her daily activities. The surgery was done with a laser as opposed to a blade because it's supposed to cause less pain and quicker healing. She seems to be a bit sore, but not in terrible pain. She's a trooper.

At the end of May, Matt and I are moving to a new apartment a LOT closer to work. It's a little bigger, and looks a lot bigger because it has a more open floor plan. The rent is higher, but we'll save the difference on gas. It's in a much nicer neighborhood. It's right down the road from the new water park that we're buying passes to for the summer. It has a patio, which we are very excited about. Hello cookouts! I've saved the best for last..... we can have another dog!!!!! As I'm sure you all know, I am all but OBSESSED with Annie and Marley. So after the summer is over and we're all settled in and things are a bit more normal I'll be getting another dog. I've already been looking on the Franklin County animal shelter website. There are typically over 300 dogs on that site daily that are up for adoption. I am so excited. Life is wonderful.

My little brother didn't come home last night. He's home now and he's okay, but wow was that scary. He fell asleep at a friend's house (a place he didn't tell my mom he was going). The only phone numbers my mom had for any of his friends were cell phones, so we couldn't get a hold of anyone. Word of advice to parents: get your children's friends' home phone numbers, cell phone numbers, addresses, and LAST NAMES.

I'm so happy he's okay.

Matt came home from Wisconsin last night. He was there for 3 days for a competition for work and I missed him so much! I've never lived alone before, and I found out it wouldn't work out too well. I didn't sleep well alone and it was just a really odd feeling of constant emptiness. He and the other man who went did REALLY well and I'm super proud of them!
Today my cousin Maggie came to Columbus (from Newark, about 45 minutes away) to go shopping about out to lunch with me and Matt. I had so much fun! We ate at Olive Garden which is always good! We went to Old Navy where I got some fleece pajama pants that are different shades of pink and maroon and a little brown horizontal stripes. I bought a brown v-neck fleece shirt to wear with them. It's the warmest, most comfortable outfit I own! Then we went into the mall and shopped at Lane Bryant, American Eagle, PacSun, and KB toys. I bought a new purse at American Eagle which I am so jazzed about. It's gray and pink plaid, but it's also reversable and what's currently the inside is gray corduroy. I really don't understand people who don't like to shop. I don't like to shop when I don't have any money, but if I can buy a few things I have a blast. We also shopped around in Sephora, but I didn't get anything because it's not cheap and I only wear makeup a few times a month. I hope everyone else is having/had a fabulous day!

8:06 pm - In case you didn't know...
Apparently, nibling is a term that can be used to collectively refer to both nieces and nephews. So I have 3 nephews, 1 niece, and one undetermined nibling for a combined total of 5 niblings! What a fun word.
